Fairies and Dragons

Welcome to week 4’s enchanted forest  themed craft, Wednesday edition. Today we will be doing either a fairy toilet paper roll craft or a dragon toilet paper roll craft. You can choose which one to make, or do both! Join highlight in making today’s enchanted craft that not only looks awesome, but can be used as a pencil holder too! 

Fairy Craft Option

Fairies and Dragons! 

Materials:

  • Pencil Crayons or Markers
  • Toilet Paper Roll x1
  • Blank White Paper
  • Googly Eyes (optional)
  • Tape
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Fairy Option Craft 

Instructions: 

  1. Draw out a dress with added details and colour as desired, then cut it out and glue it onto the toilet paper roll. 
  2. Cut out two large rectangles of paper (equal in size). Colour the rectangle and add details, then fold the rectangles into fans. 
  3. Tape the wings together, attaching both ends to join in the middle. 
  4. Draw the face onto the toilet paper roll, outline it and colour it in with details. 
  5. Grab the wings and the wings to the back of the toilet paper roll. 
  6. Your fairy is complete

Dragon Craft Option 

Materials:

  • Construction Paper (light and medium coloured, red, white, and black) 
  • Toilet Paper Roll x1
  • Pencil Crayons or Marker
  • Googly Eyes (optional)
  • Tape 
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut out a long rectangle that can wrap around the toilet paper roll and tape it using the medium shade of paper. 
  2. Using the medium shade of paper that is left over, cut out the legs, arms and head. 
  3. Cut out the stomach/scales (lighter color) and draw lines down the stomach. Cut out the tongue (red). Cut out the horns (white). Cut out the inside of the ears (dark shade). Cut out the nostrils (black) and the eyes (black or googly eyes). Optional to draw this onto the dragon instead! 
  4. Glue the eyes, nostages, inside of the ears, horns and the tongue to the head. 
  5. Glue the stomach/scales, arms, legs and the head to the body
  6. Cut out two large pieces of paper (lighter color, equal in size). Fold the rectangles into fans. Attract the wings to the back sides of the dragon with tape. 
  7. Congratulations your dragon craft is done
